For my blog I decided to use a blog builder called Tumblr. It is really easy to use as it has widgets for all the different sorts of things you might want to add to a blog - pictures, film, text .... It's really easy to then place the blog inside my website. You just take the RSS feed from the blog and then the blog feed will always be up to date. A website has the ability to make lots of pages and sections, but the blog is much more restrictive - you are a bit stuck with the templates in a blog. A blog is more for quick posts, but a website is much more personalised as you can build it how you want it.
